No, but the work of God, showing Omer that He is indeed God Most High.

It has been months since I last posted an entry. Thanks to recents comments from guests I have been spurred on to update once again.

God has been good. He has blessed me with not only close friends/brethen from elsewhere in this globe, but from the most unthought of places, such as Beirut in Lebanon, Turkey and Ha'aretz Yisrael. Everything works for His good purpose in our lives.

If you are a believer in Yeshua and reading this, keep 18 year old Netanal from Modi'in Yisrael, in prayer. He has just entered the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) as of July 2006. He is not a believer in Yeshua as of this posting, but keep this young boy in prayer. Also keep brother Roy and sister Ado from Beirut in prayer, as they go through this rough peroid of a war. Brother 'r420r' (I cannot reveal his real name) is a sweet young man, keep him in prayer also as he lives in Turkey. He lives in mild persecution as he (former muslim) is now a believer in Yeshua.

Make no mistake: there is no life in the things that are ABOUT Jesus.
There is life only in Jesus Himself. May I speak candidly? If you are dissatisfied and disappointed with your Christian walk today, it is only because of one thing: Jesus is not enough for you. Somewhere along the line, something else became more important than Jesus.
Maybe you have become focused on the things ABOUT Jesus that are NOT Jesus.
There is only one solution. You do not need more of the Lord, because He has already given Himself completely to you already. You just need less of everything else.

I have been using the Firefox browser for the past 3 days, and enjoying it so far. I do not know why or how come it has gone this route, but I wanted to try something less bloated because Opera was getting a tad bit sluggish for me. I am also now using Thunderbird to give it a go and see if it will become my default email client. I like Outlook Express but it does not have inbuilt anti-spam features which no thanks to 60 odd spam mail a day from nerdshack, forced me to use Outlook 2003. So, now giving Thunderbird a go, and looks good, seems to take up less RAM.

I have been seeing a lot of reports on Firefox these few weeks on Google News. This is of course pulled from various websites reporting of the same opinion. Even though I do not enjoy using Firefox as much as I do with Opera and Maxthon, I have to say kudos to Firefox for having gained so many true blue fans of the browser.

Reports have it that AOL's Netscape is building up on a new browser based on the Firefox engine. I think it is going to be called Firefox Plus with extra added in bells and whistles.

My mobile phone emitted that familiar Tschaikovsky Nutcracker melody, I inserted the earpiece in my ear and clicked the green button, greeting the caller with an upbeat "Hello?" only to have the caller click me off two seconds later. Well I usually don't answer unknown numbers, but one of my buddies does not have her mobile number shown on calls, so I thought it was her and wondered why she was ringing me so early in the morning. I think learning, being able to speak, read and or write in Chinese is cool. Not to mention very useful if you happen to be in Asia. In the Chinatown areas of non Asian cities, knowing Chinese will help one get by with ordering food and purchases. Reading the menus and signs outside the shops. Within the broad term of Chinese as a language, lie many branches of dialects. The most common being Mandarin which is the national language of China, and Cantonese which is spoken by almost all of Hong Kong's population. Other known dialects that spring to mind are Hakka(also called Khek), Hokkien which is commonly spoken in Taiwan and Teochew. There are many more dialects which I have not named out of course.

It perplexes me, the fanatical following that the Gecko engine based Firefox browser has. I find it ridiculous more than anything else. What do these fans really go for? Do they love the cute Firefox logo? Do they simply love the technology behind Firefox and what it as a browser has to offer? Or are some of them just going with the flow, against the grain? Have a read at Nikkita's and SCoooBY's testimonies. They managed to shed some light amidst the madness.

As for me, I use Maxthon which is essentially IE on SP2. I play around with browsers quite a bit, thus far I have Maxthon, Firefox, IE and SlimBrowser on my system. I've just removed K-Melon and long removed Opera and Mozilla.

Short, but complex passwords should be shunned as they are not truly secure anymore and you are deceiving yourself if you think they are. Long pass-phrases (14 characters or more) are the future (along with 2-factor or more authN, but that's another blog for another day) and are the only way to go if you want to ensure that you won't get hacked via any type of password based attack of any kind.

Israeli rescue personnel were not permitted to cross into Egypt at first to care for the dozens of wounded. Immediately following the attack, Israeli medical personnel, as well as the IDF's Search and Rescue Unit gathered on the Egyptian border, but Egypt closed its border with Israel completely, preventing Israeli rescue personnel from crossing.

According to Channel 1, Israeli rescue personnel was only permitted to cross the border after half and hour had past due to a call from Prime Minister Ariel Sharon to Egyptian Prime Minister Hosni Mubarak.

Witnessed reported scores of injured Israelis made their way to the Israeli border by foot to be evacuated to Eilat's Yoseftal hospital. Several Israelis said Egyptian soldiers had fired in the air to attempt to stop them from crossing back in to Israel through the Taba terminal.

It certainly is not the fairest of fair statements, to blatantly accusse Israel of attacking, making them out to be ruthless murderers - they are not. what the IDF is doing is counter offensive, defending Israel from the murderers. Just last week, a Qassam rocket launched by Palestinians with an agenda killed three children. It was not aimed at any military targets, but at civilians with the sake of killing more Jewish people.

I am against the ruling by the ICJ (international court of justice) that the defense wall of Israel is illegal. Those walls are built to help defend and keep out terrorists who constantly attempt to step into Israel to detonate bombs - be it suicide or non suicide. Just about 48 hours after the ICJ ruling was given, a bomb exploded in Tel Aviv which had been planted at a bus stop.

A terror organization linked with Arafat's Fatah/Al Aksa Martyrs Brigades swiftly claimed responsibility for the attack. I believe that the ICJ's ruling of making the much needed wall of defense, illegal, has spurred these terrorists who want nothing but the annihilation FIRST, of Jews/Israel, and then the rest of the world, to go ahead.

The ICJ is a joke. They completely ignored the very reason for the wall being there, and ruled against it for political reasons. They might as well be condemning Israel to an annihilation. Do they care that rockets land in Israel on an almost daily basis, shot by Palestinian folks with an agenda? Needless to say, the countless killing sprees by their terrorist links. The UN is a joke.

Now what is so out of this world? I can imagine that happening. Such an elevator would probably dock at a space station after having travelled up all those miles. I have seen this concept in the form of animation on Pat Rawling's website. An impressive idea and one which I concede to be, the next logical step forward in space advancement.

The heat here really is unbearable, especially these few days. Might I add, that without a decent fan or air-conditioner, one might be doomed to the throws of heat and humidity.
